Bifocal Lens Implants

Bifocal lens implants have two zones of vision, one for distance and one for near.  They work by dividing the light in half and these two zones of focus are always present with your brain learning to pay attention to the zone that you are looking at.

The trade off with this technology is halos around lights at night, about a 15 to 20% chance of the need for laser vision correction in the months afterwards to fine tune the point of focus to have these zones at the appropriate distance so the technology works.
